Birds, Brews, and Brunch

This past weekend the lucky winners of a raffle got to attend a first ever event by the Center for Birds of Prey: Birds, Brews and Brunch! The attendees got to come to the center to enjoy delicious food in addition to amazing beer from some of the local breweries including: Edmund's Oast Brewing, Holy City Brewing, Tradesman Brewing, Frothy Beard Brewing Company, and Revelry Brewing. To top it off, guests got to ask the birds of prey experts unlimited questions and see these birds in action. The experience was even more unique because the center is currently raising up baby owls! These fuzzy little guys captured all of our hearts the moment we laid eyes on them. After the babies were put away, the trainers also brought out some of the bigger birds to do flight demonstrations. It was amazing to me how well trained these birds are and I hope to come back to photograph more events here! I learned so much all while capturing some once-in-a-lifetime moments. I don't want to spoil any of the fun facts I got to learn, but my advice to you would be GO FOR A VISIT. You will not regret it. If you are looking for an outdoor activity to do near Charleston this Spring, the Center of Birds of Prey will not disappoint.
